Macie Dixon is an interdisciplinary Anishinaabe artist and storyteller from the Snapping Turtle Clan, originating from Curve Lake First Nation. She is currently based in Toronto, and recently completed a BFA in Drawing and Painting at OCAD U. Dixon has exhibited in group shows throughout Canada and the UK and is currently expanding her multidisciplinary practice to include installation.
Her current practice explores plants as art and land as pedagogy, centring community with nature and mamatowisiwin. She engages with these concepts through multiple mediums, including plant cultivation and filmmaking.
